We currently have an opportunity for a MEICA Engineer to join our teams based in Devon, Cornwall, Bristol and Bournemouth. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 - £47,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
South West Water is a leading company in the water industry. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and are looking for a skilled MEICA Engineer to join our dynamic team, you will support all stages of project delivery and be responsible for related MEICA issues throughout the business.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the MEICA delivery of projects to achieve project handover to time.
  • Providing relevant technical reports and MEICA feedback from experience.
  • Auditing contractor’s construction, commissioning and training procedures for quality and compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Acting as a contact point for the resolution of site-based problems both during and after output delivery.
  • Assisting in project design when required.
  • Reviewing the Functional Design Specification (FDS) and O&M manuals, to ensure the installed plant operates in accordance with requirements.
  • Inputting to or carrying out post project reviews.
  • Inputting to proposals for standardised solutions where justifiable by cost and/or technical efficiency.
  • Developing systems for the promotion of efficiency.
  • Contributing to or participating in internal working groups and project teams.
  • Attending and witnessing factory and site acceptance tests.
  • A respected Stakeholder of technical teams both internal and external.
  • Partaking in the Engineering progression scheme if skills qualifications or experience dictate.
  • What we are looking for:

  • An Engineering Degree/HND/HNC in a relevant field or equivalent experience, preferably with an electrical or ICA bias
  • Possess wide-ranging technical knowledge
  • Able to change and adapt to new technology and circumstances
  • Capable of a measure of strategic
  • A skilled influencer/negotiator able to promote Scheme scopes with stakeholders
  • The ability for lateral thinking and prepared to challenge ‘conventional’ wisdom
  • Full clean driving licence
