We are looking to recruit our next Tactical Waste Water Process Assistant to join our team in Exeter.
Joining us on a full time permanent basis with a competitive salary of £27,000 - £33,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

About the role:
You will be supporting the Tactical Wastewater Process Manager in co-ordinating wastewater treatment asset improvements. To provide and analyse information to review asset performance, identify poorly performing assets, propose improvement actions (operational and capital) for better performance and support the Tactical Wastewater Process Manager in delivering improvements.
Input of funding submissions into Investment Manager for wastewater treatment and sludge needs.
Assisting with the preparation of wastewater Odour Management Plans and Contingency Plans.
Travelling to different locations across the South West Water sites.

What you will be doing:

  • Collection and presentation of data in support of Functional outputs.
  • Determination and reporting of asset status, condition and performance.
  • Preparation, review and update of Odour Management Plans.
  • Odour control unit monitoring and odour contact reporting.
  • Preparation of Contingency plans.
  • Input of Investment Manager submissions.
  • Provide and analyse information to review asset performance on wastewater sites and identify specific assets which are under performing.
  • Identify asset data quality issues and inform the Tactical Wastewater Process Manager to ensure these are resolved.
  • Support the Tactical Wastewater Process Manager in proposing improvement actions for better asset performance.
  • Tracking and reporting of improvement action progress, outputs and delivery.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Planners and Finance Analysts to determine actual cost of assets and interpretation of condition and performance related data.
  • Preparation of technical reports.
  • Cross functional and external liaison.
  • What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject.
  • ONC or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret data as evidence to support business cases.
  • Ideally an understanding of the wastewater treatment processes.
  • Some experience of working in a wastewater treatment operational environment or similar environment.
  • Previous experience working on own initiative and/or working as part of a team.
  • Full drivers licence.
