We currently have an opportunity for a Water Regulations Officer to join our team based in Devon and Cornwall. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,000 - £25,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
 
About the role
 
As one of our Water Regulations Officers, you will provide Rock Solid Service to our customers both internal and external through effective customer interaction, carrying out inspections of pipe work and plumbing installations on customer’s commercial and domestic premises to satisfy the requirements of statutory legislation.
 
You will achieve the highest quality at all times for our customers, colleagues, the environment, and our stakeholders by putting “Quality First”.
 
You will create reports using specialist applications, Microsoft Windows, and company programmes, always working in accordance with department and company policies and procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring that wholesome water quality is maintained in plumbing installations, ensuring that it is not wasted, misused or unduly consumed and public health is protected
  • Inspection of premises as required, to determine if breaches of The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 exist
  • Carrying out duties associated with the enforcement of The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
  • Creating enforcement notice details and the recording of necessary information on corporate databases and other media as required in compliance with company policy and procedures
  • Complying with all department, company, corporate and Legislative procedures at all times
  • Undertake relevant training to fulfil the role of domestic and industrial water regulations enforcement and complete an NVQ Level 3 in Regulations Enforcement
  • Driving to third party locations across the South West
  • What we are looking for:

  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English at grades A-C
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience in plumbing or other allied trade
  • Computer Literate with ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
