We currently have an opportunity available for an Environmental Performance Coordinator to join our team working on a hybrid basis with an office base in Exeter. You will join us on a 12 month fixed term contract basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 per annum plus benefits.
About the role:
The Environmental Performance Coordinator will be focused on supporting the company to achieve our environmental targets by supporting the Environmental Performance Reporting and Engagement Manager.
This role is key to achieving our environmental and pollution commitments. The successful candidate will be working closely with many areas of the business, including operational field teams and performance and data units, to ensure accurate reporting is captured and presented, and actions are driven through to completion. There will also be engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including the environmental regulator, the Environment Agency (EA).
What you'll be doing:
Reporting and tracking performance for a number of environmental metrics in weekly and monthly performance packs, including Compliance Assessment Report action responses to the EA and tracking and monitoring Operational site audits and subsequent actions
Coordinating the completion of the monthly Wastewater Services performance pack and subsequent environmental performance deep dive packs
Supporting the arrangement of EA engagement including quarterly tactical liaison meetings and bi-annual workshops
Collating and tracking Environmental Performance actions e.g. from deep dives and regulatory meetings, and supporting in their completion
Process mapping for Environmental Performance procedures and ensuring these are signed-off and uploaded to the Quality Management System
Assisting Continual Improvement initiatives relevant to Environmental Performance being rolled out in Wastewater Services
Coordinating Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests for Environmental Performance
What we are looking for:
Degree or relevant workplace experience in an environmental, operational or regulatory setting
Experience of working within the wastewater or other regulated sector and its operation, planning, reporting and regulatory obligations is desirable but not essential
Computer literate and skilled in the use of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Good communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently both verbally and in writing
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively innovate and work well under pressure
