As a Planned Mechanical Craftsperson, you’ll be at the heart of our wastewater operations, ensuring our assets run smoothly and efficiently. From pumps and gearboxes to specialist treatment machinery, you’ll tackle complex repairs, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance—keeping our systems in top shape and helping prevent environmental risks.

What you will be doing:
Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment across wastewater treatment sites
Work on pumps, gearboxes, and specialist process machinery
Undertake large plant repairs and fabrication tasks
Apply first-level maintenance and develop new skills, including electrical disconnections and working in explosive atmospheres
Collaborate with other disciplines in a mobile team
Ensure safety at all times, including confined space and working-at-height protocols
Participate in standby/call-out rota
What we are looking for:
A completed Apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline
A full understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime
Experience of working with Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable
Ability to fault find and repair large complex pieces of mechanical equipment
A full UK driving license is required
CompEx 11 (desirable)
Welding or Fabrication experience
