We currently have a Scheduler position available to join our team in St Austell. Joining us on a full-time, 12 month fixed term basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,740 per annum.
The Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing detailed schedules for the operation and maintenance of wastewater operations.
What you'll be doing:
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for operational and maintenance activities, ensuring effective and efficient allocation of cyclical and responsive jobs to operatives within the field, liaising with the local management and operator teams. This will include jeopardy management of prioritised work.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure that all scheduled activities are aligned and executed efficiently.
Communicate schedules and any changes to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution.
Close liaison with Planning teams to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet the required programme dates, informing them of any duplicate planning in the system, suggesting an alternative solution, providing dates available for work/programmes to be carried out.
Specialise in providing the link between front line and internal/external colleagues i.e. Field Engineers, customers, Customer Service, Planners & Delivery Partners.
Ensure that resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, are scheduled effectively to meet operational needs.
Autonomously plan proactive work within time and resource constraints making the most effective use of resources in order to achieve company service standards.
Evaluate and implement key decisions to enable effective scheduling to benefit team members and field workers whilst delivering efficiency savings to the company.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in scheduling, preferably within the wastewater or utilities sector
Experience in data analysis and performance measurement
Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams.
Maths and English to grade C GCSE standard,or equivalent, or able to demonstrate ability to work at this level
