Water Regulations Officer
South West Water Regional Role

We’re looking for a Water Regulations Officer to join our team - a field-based role where you’ll combine technical knowledge, inspections and customer interaction to uphold water quality standards.
What you’ll be doing
Inspecting domestic and commercial premises to ensure compliance with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
Identifying risks to water quality and preventing contamination and misuse.
Investigating breaches and issuing enforcement notices where required.
Producing clear reports and maintaining accurate records across company systems.
Providing technical advice to customers, contractors and internal teams.
Managing your own workload, appointments and inspections efficiently.
Supporting wider teams and stepping in for the Team Manager when needed.
Maintaining strong customer relationships while delivering regulatory compliance.
What we’re looking for
A background in plumbing or a related trade.
Strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret drawings and regulations.
Confident communication skills, you’re able to explain requirements clearly to customers.
Well organised, able to plan and manage your own workload.
A proactive, methodical approach to problem solving and investigation.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
Full UK driving licence - essential.
(Water Regulations or plumbing qualifications are desirable, but we’ll support you to develop in the role.)
