We're recruiting for a Network Maintenance Technician to join our team working in Bodmin.
Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary, ranging from £28,030 - £35,342 per annum, with the opportunity to earn more through our company progression scheme. In addition to this, you will also receive a salary uplift allowance for taking part in the standby rota.
As a Network Maintenance Technician, you will keep our essential services running, playing a part in delivering safe, reliable drinking water to communities, businesses and homes.
This is a varied, field-based role, working across operational sites and network assets, supporting both planning maintenance and operational response.
What you'll be doing:
Undertaking maintenance tasks on network assets and premises to ensure they are well maintained, serviceable and operationally efficient. This includes: servicing pressure valves, pump stations, control valves and network fittings and reservoir assets.
Assisting with planned and reactive work to minimise supply disruptions.
Completing site inspections, maintenance and repairs across operational facilities.
Work in accordance with all associated QMS procedures.
Adhere to Health, Safety and Security policies at all times.
Be aware of the environment when carrying out maintenance activities.
What we're looking for:
Hands-on maintenance skills across buildings and structures.
Proven experience of working within a water, utilities or operational maintenance environment.
Ability to work independently in a field-based role, and as part of a wider team.
Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide high quality customer service.
Commitment to health, safety, security and environmental standards.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Full UK driving licence (B&E minimum).
