Meter Reader
Want a job where you’re out and about, not stuck behind a desk?
South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to join our team in Exeter.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £26,914 plus great benefits.
About the Role
As a Meter Reader, you’ll travel around the Exeter area (EX1–EX12) reading water meters. This helps make sure customers are billed correctly.
What You’ll Do
Read and record water meters accurately
Speak with customers and provide good service
Plan your day and travel routes efficiently
Complete your daily meter reading targets
Report any faulty meters or issues you find
Keep your van and equipment in good condition
Follow health and safety rules at all times
What We’re Looking For
Full UK driving licence
Friendly and confident speaking to customers
Able to work alone and outside in all weather
Good organisation and ability to meet targets
Basic computer skills
