We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Store Person / Driver to join our Logistics team based at our Central Logistics Centre in Plymouth. This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse operations and driving responsibilities, supporting the delivery of critical materials that keep our infrastructure running.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across our sites, helping maintain stock accuracy, and delivering materials safely and efficiently across the South West.
What you'll be doing:
Safely transport and deliver materials across Devon, Cornwall, and Bournemouth
Receive, check, and process supplier deliveries and Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
Pick, pack, and dispatch stock accurately for delivery or collection
Manage stock control, conduct audits, and report discrepancies
Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring security of goods in transit
Support internal customers with queries and collections
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety across all stores
Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues or delays
Provide emergency call-out support via a standby rota
What we are looking for:
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Good standard of education (including English & Maths)
Strong communication skills and a professional approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
Desirable:
Forklift truck licence
Experience with stock management or ERP systems
Previous warehouse or logistics experience
