Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for an Administrator to join our Wastewater Services team, providing vital support that helps keep essential services running efficiently for our customers and communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
About the Role
As an Administrator within Wastewater Services, you'll provide comprehensive administrative support to operational teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day activities. You'll play a key role in procurement processes, managing work orders, maintaining records, supporting reporting requirements, and helping the team meet operational and service level targets.
No direct management responsibility is required, but you'll work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across the business.
This is a fixed-term opportunity until June 2027, offering the chance to gain valuable experience within our Wastewater Services team. As part of a wider organisation with a range of career pathways, there may be opportunities to explore other roles across the business in the future.
What you'll be doing:
Raise and manage purchase orders for suppliers and contractors
Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and resolve invoice queries
Manage chemical ordering and stock administration activities
Coordinate skip exchanges and ordering of site supplies
Administer annual work orders for PPE and tools
Maintain standby rotas and workforce records
Support the management and upkeep of operational systems and databases
Review and amend labour hour records where required
Maintain accurate and compliant administrative records
Produce routine and ad-hoc reports for operational teams
Provide efficient support to internal and external stakeholders
