What we do

Our Technology department goes above and beyond to deliver innovative IT solutions and support to colleagues across our business. Whether they’re providing frontline assistance, keeping equipment and systems updated, or implementing the latest tech, these teams make incredible things happen every day - and have a lot of fun along the way.

What sets our IT department apart? We’d rather train our people in new areas than outsource external service providers. Not only does this give us much more control of our IT output, it also opens up a world of opportunity for our people.

Our teams

Solution Design, Applications, Data and Programme Delivery teams

From applications and interfaces to transformational IT programmes, it’s down to these teams to design, deliver and maintain a wide range of corporate and operational technology projects and initiatives - ensuring they enable important business processes and successful outcomes.

Operational Technology

It’s down to our Operational Technology team to ensure the serviceability and availability of operational technology platforms - installing, repairing and maintaining critical plant and process control systems to support the safe and efficient delivery of operational services.

Information Security

Key to enabling South West Water to meet its goals, our Information Security team manages IT security risks - ensuring our IT and OT systems are available, integral and confidential. It’s also down to them to ensure compliance with security policies and guidelines, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

Infrastructure Services and Service Delivery

Providing frontline IT customer support services and robust identity management, our Service Delivery team supports our 3,000 IT Customers from initial contact through to resolution. Meanwhile, it’s down to our IT Operations team to maintain our IT Infrastructure Services to ensure they are supportable and secure, and meet performance, capacity and availability SLAs.
